MR. DECKER MEMORIUM
The Brooklyn Tech community is heartbroken and saddened by the tragic news that beloved Social Studies teacher Mr. Andrew Decker has passed away suddenly a few days ago. We wanted to give all students a chance to post memorable anecdotes and photos of Mr. Decker for us to post on the school website. Click headline above for more info and to submit photos. As always if you need grief counseling contact Mr. Ventura or your guidance counselor.
Im saddened by the news of Mr. Decker's untimely passing. I will never forget him playing various types of music for his students as they entered his classroom on the 7th floor. I remember walking pass his classroom one day and hearing one of my favorite artist blaring through the speakers, Nas. I appreciated the calming routine he set for his students to get them ready and focused for the lesson. In support of the school community and the passing of Mr. Andrew Decker, the following is available for all students and staff. Attached you will find a beautiful eulogy written by his friend Mr. Lederer.
